Creative Guidelines

Creative Submission

Insertion orders and creative are due at least four full business days prior to campaign launch date.If creative is to be 3rd party served, it must have Javascript ad calls

Creative Format Guidelines

Animation/Looping

  • Total animation time may not exceed 15 seconds and may not exceed 3 loops of animation
  • Ads may not employ persistent rapid or "strobing" animation of any graphic, copy, or background elements

Audio

  • Audio must be user-initiated on click
  • Audio shut-off functionality must be clearly visible to the user

Ad Expansion

  • Ad expansion must be user-initiated
  • Ad expansion or contraction functionality must be clearly visible to the user
  • The method of ad expansion and contraction must be the same (e.g. rollover or click)
  • Close on roll off or must have [x] or "close [x]" on upper right corner of ad

Note: We advise that you set your 3rd party ad server to expand the creative according its orientation, if this feature is available.

Flash® Ads

  • A backup GIF or JPG image must be supplied
  • All Flash creative should employ the Click Action on (release) {getURL(clickTAG, "_blank");}
  • Version  Flash 8 or earlier is recommended

Video

  • Video time may not exceed 30 seconds
  • Video can play on initial load or be user-initiated via rollover or click
  • Audio must be user-initiated by click
  • All Flash creative must have wmode set to "transparent"

Distinctive Content

  • Ads must not be designed to mimic news or editorial content

TACODA requires four full business days to test and approve ad creative submissions.

Rich Media

TACODA Audience Networks works with most commercial rich media companies.  All rich media applications, such as video or DHTML, should occur within the standard purchased pixel space.  Expanding units must be user initiated.  The following are a list of some of the rich media vendors that are approved:

Approved Ad Serving

The following ad servers are approved.  Campaigns served from such ad servers shall be invoiced according to IAB / AAAA Terms & Conditions V2.0.

Unapproved 3rd Party Ad Servers

All other ad servers including those listed below are unapproved.  Campaigns served from such ad servers shall be invoiced based off of TACODA statistics:

  • Value Ad
  • ExImpact
  • ZEDO

Any third-party ad servers NOT listed here must be tested prior to campaign start date and Ad tags should be provided seven (7) days in advance of the campaign start date.  During the initial campaign period for any new or proprietary ad server, if discrepancies of impressions served are above 10 percent for more than three (3) individual days, invoices shall be invoiced based off of TACODA statistics.

OPA Advertising Policy

All advertisements are subject to approval by TACODA. TACODA reserves the right to refuse any ad submission which does not meet the requirements specified above, or is deemed otherwise inappropriate, distracting, or harmful to the user experience for TACODA Audience Networks visitors.
