Executive Team

Khan Smith, VP Marketing & Product Management, Chief Privacy Officer

Khan Smith has been Vice President of Product Management since October of 2005 and TACODA's Chief Privacy Officer since September 2007. In January of 2008, Khan’s role was expanded to manage TACODA’s Marketing department. Mr. Smith joined the company from Microsoft, where he had been Senior Product Planner for MSN’s Audience Segmentation Tool Suite driving product strategy, planning, technical development and sales planning. His concentration was on development and monetization of demographic, geographic, day-part, and behavioral targeting attributes. Mr. Smith joined Microsoft in 2002. From 1999 to 2002, he was with Avenue A, a leading interactive agency. He began his career at Boeing Commercial Airplane Group.

Dan Grigorovici, VP Data Strategy & Analytics

Dan Grigorovici joined TACODA as Vice President of Data Strategy and Analytics in October of 2007.

Prior to TACODA, Dan worked at Digitas as the Vice President/Associate Director of Digital Analytics, supporting the integration of online and offline data for new methodologies in behavioral and lifestyle/aspirational segmentation. Other duties included structured testing and predictive modeling of integrated customer and online user data. His concentration is on developing integrated, automated data reporting solutions and user modeling techniques for segmentation, targeting and personalization. Earlier positions were with Carat Fusion, Fastclick, and IBM Business Solutions.

His interests are in state-of-the-art data mining techniques (multivariate, multicriteria context aware recommendation systems), Semantic Web, and non-relational data (social network data analysis through statistical relational learning). Mr. Grigorovici holds a Ph.D. from Penn State and has several patents and publications in data mining and analytics of interactive and emerging media.

Matthew Goldstein, SVP, Business Operations

Matthew Goldstein joined TACODA in June 2006 after a long career with MTV Networks.

Mr. Goldstein had been with MTV Networks since 1989 serving most recently as Vice President of Online Ad Operations since 2001. He was Vice President, Business Development and Operations for Nickelodeon Online from 1997 to 2001. Earlier, he was Director, Business Development for Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1997. He began his media career in the Finance department of Nickelodeon when it was a small, yet innovative children’s cable television network. As MTV Networks grew and expanded its media reach, Goldstein got involved in a variety of projects for the company including the creation of Nick Magazine, TV Land and the original nick.com.

Mr. Goldstein received a B.A. in from the George Washington University and a Masters in Business Administration from Fordham University. He lives in Lower Manhattan with his wife and three children.

Art Dolimpio, SVP Operations

Art Dolimpio is responsible for managing TACODA’s system and network infrastructure as well as customer technical support.

Mr. Dolimpio joined TACODA from 24/7 Real Media where he served as Vice President of Technical Operations.  Previously, he was Director of Enterprise Support for Verizon (Bell Atlantic) and has also worked with Decision Data Inc. and Xerox Corporation.  He has more than 30 years of experience in support operation and product management.

Mr. Dolimpio is a member of the Association for Services Management International and has spoken at industry events such as the Yankee Group's Rolling Thunder technology series and Bell Atlantic's Enterprise Exchange.

Alison Lowery, VP Engineering

Ms. Lowery is responsible for product development and quality assurance functions at TACODA, Inc.

Previously, Ms. Lowery was the Vice President of Engineering for Real Media (now 24/7 Real Media) and directed product development for three product lines. Her previous management positions include Global Director Chemical Markets at ESPS (now Liquent) and Manager, North American Infrastructure for Zeneca, Inc. (now AstraZeneca). Earlier in her career, Ms. Lowery was a System Engineer at ICI Americas (now AstraZeneca) and Hercules, both of which are located in Delaware.

Dave Morgan, Founder

Dave Morgan founded New York-based TACODA in April 2001, going on to serve as its CEO and Chairman until the company was sold to AOL in September 2007.

Mr. Morgan has been an online advertising pioneer, in 1995 founding Real Media, Inc., one of the first online ad networks and a predecessor to 24/7 Real Media (TFSM). He led Real Media until 2001 as its Chairman/CEO, growing it from a start-up with no employees to a $54 million global marketing services company with almost 600 employees in 19 countries. A lawyer by training, Mr. Morgan served as General Counsel and Director of New Media Ventures for the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, where he helped launch more than a dozen new media businesses in the early 90’s. Previously, he had been an associate in the corporate department of the Philadelphia-based law firm of Duane Morris.

Mr. Morgan is one of the foremost experts and commentators on online advertising, the future of media and the protection of consumer privacy. He is a frequent speaker, writer, and commentator on these issues, regularly presenting at conferences around the world and is often quoted in leading business publications like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Business Week. Active in public policy, he has presented and testified on advertising and privacy issues to governmental and public policy bodies at both the state and federal level, including the Federal Trade Commission’s recent Tech-Ade Hearings. He is involved in a number of industry trade groups and currently holds board positions with both the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the digital marketing board of the Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA).

Mr. Morgan received a B.A. in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from the Dickinson School of law. He lives on Manhattan’s Upper West Side with his wife, journalist Lorea Canales, and their daughters, Ana and Julia.
